Growing Sussex was showcased at this year’s Connected Britain conference, the UK’s leading event for telecoms and digital infrastructure. The event brought together industry leaders, innovators, and policymakers to explore the future of connectivity.
Growing Sussex was invited for a second time to address the conference in a good demonstration of the continuing interest in the project by government and industry. Jo Furber, Growing Sussex Project Lead for West Sussex County Council, gave a presentation on the local authority stage outlining the ambitious approach to collecting and using data to drive decision making in growing practice, and the need for more sustainable food and drink production to combat an increasing risk of food insecurity. The project’s new film was given its first airing to an enthusiastic response. Click above to watch it now.
